M+M Trend Session „Fashion meets Technology: Trends in Fashion-E-Commerce
At our M+M trend session „Fashion meets Technology: Trends in Fashion E-commerce“, our guests were able to gain insights into various topics, including innovative visualisation methods and current e-commerce trends in the fashion industry.
Together with top-class speakers and our partners, we offered our guests a varied programme with interesting keynotes and practical insights at live stations.
In his exciting keynote, Arndt Brockmann introduced the challenges and opportunities of the fashion industry. The current trends in fashion e-commerce were presented by Harriet Esther Muntean, Christian Weber and Moritz Müller. Industry expert Prof. Dr. Michael Ernst enriched the event with a presentation on the strategic importance of digital 3D product development for the fashion industry.
Building on this, Patrick Barth presented the process of digital collection development at MEY using sample projects. He showed the guests the material library that is built up with digital materials in order to then make them usable for the simulation software.
Thorsten Zoll used the example of ‚Betty Barclay‘ to demonstrate the advantages of 3D visualisation and gave an exclusive insight into the design process. 3D visualisation also plays a major role for designers, as it makes it easier for them to communicate their ideas to the outside world and to present the design in different sizes.
A special highlight of the event was the live exhibition, where participants had the opportunity to experience the topics presented in the keynotes up close at various stations: Material Digitisation with our partner Vizoo, Digital Material Simulation with EAT, Digital Material Generation with Caddon, and Digital Product Development and Visualisation for E-Commerce and Marketing.
A live demo also took place in our Virtual Studio, where our guests could experience hybrid onlocation photography live.
