Birds chirping. Twigs cracking underfoot. Sunlight breaks through the dense canopies of the Allgäu Forest and bathes the mountains in picturesque light.
A weekend full of adventure, entertainment and shared enthusiasm for the beauty of nature.
On October 12th and 13th this year, a group of our M+M and apollon colleagues spent two days in this dreamlike scenery of the peaks of the Allgäu mountains.
The first day started at 9am with a breathtaking view of Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau. After crossing the “Marienbrücke” (Mary’s Bridge), we set off up the Tegelberg (1720m). After a long exhausting day, we reached the Kenzenhütte, some 1294m above sea level. This was our accommodation for the night as well.
After a short night, refreshed and well-rested, we started the second part of the tour. From the Kenzenhütte we went over the Kenzensattel and back to the Tegelberg. To the delight of some, we took the cable car back down into the valley. The last view from the peak stretched for miles over unrivalled scenery of mountains and lakes. It was a wonderful weekend full of good spirits.
”We are already looking forward to the next M+M hiking weekend.
