Hackathon 2020 under the motto “Diversity & Inclusion” in Pforzheim
That was the 2020 Hackathon of the DigitalHub Nordschwarzwald under the motto “Diversity & Inclusion” in the Schlosskirche St. Michael in Pforzheim.
Around 60 participants gathered in the unique setting of the Schlosskirche and spent 28 hours developing ideas for more diversity & inclusion at this year’s hackathon. In eight interdisciplinary teams, digital applications and apps were developed that can help citizens of the city and region who are impaired by a variety of approaches to better participate in everyday life. The participants of the hackathon worked together in groups during the two days. Not only different nations came together, but also different people and professional backgrounds. Of course in compliance with the AHA regulations.
The award ceremony was determined democratically by an app based on the applause of the audience. The first place was won by the app Verbalize, for learning sign language together with a focus on deaf people. Afterwards, the DigitalHub Nordschwarzwald will continue to support the teams in further developing their ideas.
We are happy that we could again support this very important regional project and are looking forward to the next hackathon in 2021, where Meyle+Müller and apollon will of course participate again!
